Yu Tu visits his parents in Yixing before going on his one-month business trip. He digs out his old computer and reads his old chats with Qiao Jing Jing, reminiscing the past. When taking a walk with his mom, they talk about the old days and his mom’s regrets of discouraging him from doing what he wanted in the past.

Jing Jing picks a movie, but then realize it might make Yu Tu think of unpleasant memories. And even though they're careful, Jing Jing is still caught on camera by a fan. While Jing Jing and Yu Tu are watching a livestream at her house, Ling arrives with the makeup artists and stylists.

She decides to introduce Yu Tu to Ling and brings him to Ling's house where he meets her close colleagues for the first time. She also sets a goal to level up in rank in the game.

The conversation turns sour when his resignation is mentioned, and Yu Tu gets mad at Jing Jing when she defends him. Jing Jing wants to hide their relationship from their parents, but when Yu Tu's mom catches him and Jing Jing together by their house, Jing Jing comes up with lies.
